If You Want To Build A Ship...

Inspiring Quote Of The Day

I was browsing Pinterest, when I came upon this inspiring quote...

"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea." ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Making a plan, barking orders and trying to pay people to accomplish your goals isn't going to get you there very fast. A good leader shares their vision and finds those that share the same passion. They make sure their people have the proper funding and their way is clear for them to accomplish their goals.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves about the dream while we are in the midst of work.

So the short story was about a child who wanted to know why people kissed. I added three mothers for the child and left the child's gender mostly unknown. As the story progressed, you learned that this was a female humanoid child who was supposed to be emotionless and the mothers were Grays.

Later I took this short story and began to develop it into the novelette it is now. I did research on the Grays and the most common characteristic. I wondered what would hypothetically cause an alien to evolve in this manner and how could it survive?Read more
