A.R. Hellbender says...

This was a fun read. The fact that nearly every chapter is told by a different character really adds to it, as well as the plot twists. Through the different points of view, we also get a more comprehensive glimpse of the setting than a lot of stories of this length give us.

    As she descended the staircase, she gave the man in the fedora a flirtatious glance. The man tipped his hat in her direction with a sly grin. He downed the last sip of his Bronx and donned his leather gloves.

    She asked the host to dance with nothing more than a bat of her lashes and a doe-eyed look. 

    He ransacked the master bedroom with all of the caution of a master thief.
